Add Custom Domain For Blogger In Godaddy....

Blogger was developed by Pyra Labs in 1999. In 2003 Google bought entire Pyra labs. Blogger is not like Wordpres or Joomla, We cannot install Blogger on any other web server. After 2010 Google moved all their Blogspot.com to their own servers. We can Re-Direct our Blogspot to custom URL with Domain DNS services.

To day i am going to explain 'How to add custom domain for your Blogger' Step by Step.

Before going to first step you should have one domain name on where you want to move your Blogger. You can buy domain names via Godaddy, Big-rock, Network Solutions and ETC. Present i am showing on Go daddy.

Adding Custom Domain And Get CNAME In Blogger.



1) To add custom domain in Blogger go to your Blogger setting and you can see +Add a custom domain under your blogger address.

2)Click on that +Add a custom domain and give domain name address in that blank field.

3)Then you will CNAME for your domain as shown in the picture.

We have completed our part in Blogger. Then move to domain registrar we have to place this CNAME on our domain DNS manager.

Place CNAME in Domain DNS manager.



1) I am showing with Godaddy DNS manager tool environment. Login to Go daddy account and go to your account.

2) Click on your domains section. On top of your page you will see DNS manager click on that. Click on your specific domain name and edit the file zone.


3) Then you can see CNAME tab. Click on Qucick Add button under your CNAME.

4) Get your CNAME from Blogger and paste here. And your work done.

5) Final step, go to your Godaddy domain manager forward your domain permanently to URL. Godaddy will take upto 3 hours to re-direct your blogger to a specific domain.
