MDIF (Media Developing Investment Fund) Non-Profit organization is launching OUTERNET(Free Internet) to global. Outernet is providing free internet globally through WI-FI. This project placing hundreds of CubeSats measuring 10 cm (3.9 in) each in earth orbit by 2015. The initial deployment of Satellite will be start in 2014 July. Complete deployment will be completed by the end 2015.
MDIF seeking funds to provide Outernet for free across the global in short time. MDIF is requesting NASA to use International Space Station to test Outernet technology. Indian born Siddharth Rajhans(Spacify Inc Founder) along with Space debris mitigation expert Sourabh Kaushal is working for this project. Both working on this technology to use globally through WI-FI access.
